The Sports Ankle Brace Kicx is designed for the resumption of training after ankle ligament injury, to prevent recurring ankle injury, and in case of ankle instability. It provides comfortable pressure around the joint and fits snug to the ankle to maintain its position. In addition, the preventive “Prophy-X” strap system is worn on the outside of the ankle joint and has two straps that cross one another. The dorsal (rear) strap is at right angles to the inversion/eversion axis, which prevents the foot from twisting inwards and being sprained. As for the ventral (front) strap, this offers a counterbalance and resistance to the forces applied to the dorsal strap. Because the straps criss-cross each other in the rotation axis of the upper ankle joint, this means rolling of the foot is not impeded.
